New Beginning and Intermediate Class Sessions

Here are the new dates and information for Italian language courses through the holidays!

Beginning Italian:

The new session of Beginning Italian will begin on Monday, November 16 at 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Alaina and Heather will be co-teaching out of the textbook: Italian DeMYSTiFieD, Second Editionit would be helpful to have the textbook on the first day of class, although not required. All Beginning classes will be at 5:30 – 7:00 on Mondays.

Beginning Italian focuses on:

  • Basic conversation
  • Gendered nouns
  • Common vocabulary and basic adjectives
  • Colors, numbers, days, and months
  • Articles and prepositions
  • Regular and Irregular verb forms

Class dates for Beginning Italian:

November 16, 23, 30; December 7, 14, 21


Intermediate Italian:

Intermediate Italian classes will begin on Saturday morning, November 14 from 10:00 – 11:30 with Natasha. The textbook for this course is In viaggio: Moving Toward Fluency in Italian.  This session is a 6-week course, but due to scheduling, the session will meet for 5 weeks with an extended final class meeting. All classes will be on Saturdays from 10:30 – 11:00.

In this course we’ll be learning and reviewing how to:
1. Talk about and tells stories of the past
2. Give recommendations and express our opinions
3. Connecting words and related vocabulary words for chapter 3
4. Learn to talk about our passions, interests and passions of Italian culture
5. Other useful expressions for dialogue to use while agreeing or disagreeing with others.

Class dates for Intermediate Italian:

November 14, 21, 28; December 12, 19 (extended, double-class)
