Learn one of the most beautiful languages in the world
We offer 4 courses for beginning and intermediate learners.
Italian is recognized as one of the most beautiful spoken languages on the planet and has the highest number of words for describing food! It is the closest language to Latin, the common ancestor of all romance languages, and has the “best phonetic fit.” It is the easiest foreign language to read, write, and pronounce because there is only one sound per letter of the alphabet (and four consonant blends). Additionally, according to UNESCO (the cultural and educational agency for the United Nations), Italy is home to most of the world’s cultural heritage sites.
Our wonderful teachers are excited and prepared to help students begin, or continue, their journey with the beautiful Italian language. Classes are an hour and a half long, for 6 weeks. The cost of class is $120, plus a one-time, $30 textbook. We use Nuovo Progetto Italiano I for all Italian Club of Salt Lake classes. You may acquire your own copy or purchase one on the first day of class.
Classes form based on enrollment, so grab some friends or family and start learning together! All classes meet on the second floor of the Raw Bean Coffee House (611 South, West Temple) in downtown Salt Lake City. Make sure to grab a drink before class!
Beginning Italian 1 is designed for those wanting to learn Italian for the first time, or who have learned in the past and want to start again fresh. This class starts from the very basics of the language to create a solid foundation for further grammar concepts, and works through other topics such as gendered nouns, articles and present tense verb conjugations.
